Gabriel Ordeig Cole
Gabriel Ordeig Cole founded Santa & Cole in 1985, together with Javier Nieto Santa and Nina Masó. He is responsible for recovering objects that have since been considered Spanish design classics. His training in art, coupled with his Anglo-Saxon background and his Mediterranean temperament, made him a remarkable designer with an extraordinary gift: his command of light. A talent he applied both in the creation of lamps and ambience that transmit emotion.

Gabriel Ordeig Cole, Nina Masó
| 1985Designed by Santa & Cole co-founders Gabriel Ordeig Cole and Nina Masó, La Bella Durmiente (Sleeping Beauty) is a totemic volume that explores the expressive potential of color, playing with contrasts between warm and cold hues. The result is a visually dynamic and balanced composition. A composition that nods to the geometric abstraction of Piet Mondrian or Theo van Doesburg.
Born in 1985 as a defiant response to an era dominated by cold halogen lights and stark metal structures, this lamp championed colorful fluorescence (now LED) when this light source was considered blue and soulless.
