Anthony Dickens

1975

Anthony Dickens founded his eponymous London product and furniture design studio in 1998, creating functionally innovative objects that express simple narratives and re-conceive the everyday things that surround us.

Anthony’s work is diverse, leading him to set up Studio Make Believe to create objects that solve problems for some of the world’s leading brands, including Ben and Jerry’s, Red Bull, Absolut, Budweiser and Joseph Joseph.

In 2006 he launched the Origami table range, winning the Elle Decoration Best Table Award. His Anglepoise Fifty, a light that encapsulated the Anglepoise brand and story, was shortlisted for the Design Museum’s Designs of the Year 2007 and is now part of their permanent collection.

Other products include the Farriers Cage and Beehive lighting collection for Made by the Forge, the Halcyon light for Decode London and the ‘Tree to Table’ table and bench available in Heals.
