Tatu is a lamp-object that became an icon of Spanish design and pop culture in the 1970s. Its mechanical body, like a compact task lamp, was conceived in three sections that can rotate independently, adapting to different uses. Its light is easily adjustable in both intensity and beam spread, making it ideal for quiet moments or activities that require focus.
After confirming the excellent functionality of the table version, we developed a floor design that perfectly fulfills the task of illuminating the reader seated in their armchair. Yet beyond this obvious function, its legendary charm and theatrical touch allow it to find its place in all kinds of spaces, adding character and presence wherever it stands.
The tatú, or armadillo, is a friendly mammal protected by a dorsal shell that shields it when it curls into itself. This lamp recalls a more playful era, when Europe’s middle classes entered the age of mass consumption and their children launched into a sweeping aesthetic revolution—one in which everything bent and twisted, from Andy Warhol to The Beatles to Mary Quant. Everything could be expressed in a new way. Everything stood with quiet pride. Everything was alive with color.
Adjustable focal length from 30º to 50º.
Adjustable light intensity 0% to 100%.
Dimmer and switch incorporated into the luminaire.
CCT: 2.700 K
Lifetime: 40.000 h
