Bea Sarrias approaches modern architecture as a pictorial field of exploration, where the works of Sert, Barragán, and Rudolph are connected through the latent legacy of Piet Mondrian.
Luis Barragán (Guadalajara, México, 1902–1988) employs geometry, color, and light as tools to provoke a profound sensory experience oriented toward serenity and human connection. Although his work engages in dialogue with modern abstraction, Barragán reclaims its languages building an entire personal vision, where nature, shadow, and silence play an essential role.
Barragán’s relationship with Mondrian emerges through a free reinterpretation of some of his principles, beyond pure Neoplasticism. Both seek abstraction as a means of generating emotional impact; however, while Mondrian pursues a rational and strict abstraction, limited to primary colors and orthogonality, Barragán expands the palette with vibrant colors deeply rooted in Mexican culture. Works such as the Torres de Satélite (1958), designed in collaboration with Mathias Goeritz, exemplify this synthesis of geometry and color, where architecture gets closer to a sculpture and pictorial language.

Without glass, whenever possible
Many original works are displayed without glass. To preserve the same aesthetic and presence, we recommend doing the same. The result is more natural, glare-free, and visually striking.
Mounting on rigid backing (PVC)
Ask your framer to mount the artwork onto a rigid backing. PVC is lightweight, stable, and helps prevent warping over time. It’s also essential if you choose to frame without glass.
Conservation and materials

If you use glass, make sure it’s anti-glare and UV-protective
