Miquel Izquierdo
Miquel
Izquierdo Ramón (Barcelona, 1967) is a literary translator and author with more
than three decades of professional experience. He holds a degree in Italian
Philology and began his academic career as a Spanish language lecturer at the
University of Illinois in Chicago (1994–96).
Specialised in translating from Italian and English into Spanish and Catalan, he has brought into our language key authors such as Primo Levi, Michael Moore, Paolo Cognetti and Renato de Fusco. His professional work spans major publishing groups such as Planeta and Ediciones B, as well as prominent independent presses.
A dabbler in design, photography and art, he has channelled this passion into his work as a writer. He is the author of the monograph Miguel Milá, diseñador preindustrial (La Fábrica, 2025) and of the essay at hand.
