The Studio of Marià Fortuny in Rome, painted by Ricardo de Madrazo in 1874, is a nostalgic evocation of the creative space of the great Catalan master following his premature death at the age of 36. The work not only documents the atelier at Villa Martinori, brimming with exotic objects and pieces collected by Fortuny, but also serves as an intimate tribute, reinforced by the dedication to Cecilia, the painter’s widow. Madrazo adopts a looser technique, close to Impressionism, to capture the atmosphere of the place and the memory of the artist. Many original works are displayed without glass. To preserve the same aesthetic and presence, we recommend doing the same. The result is more natural, glare-free, and visually striking.

Mounting on rigid backing (PVC)

Ask your framer to mount the artwork onto a rigid backing. PVC is lightweight, stable, and helps prevent warping over time. It’s also essential if you choose to frame without glass.

Our art editions are carefully rolled and shipped in custom-made tubes designed to ensure safe transport. We offer three tube sizes—70 cm, 90 cm, and 150 cm in height—all with a 12 cm diameter. Each tube weighs approximately 5 kg. Smaller-format editions are shipped flat in a rigid cardboard folder for added protection.

Museu Nacional d’Art de Catalunya

This first selection of Neoseries from the Museu Nacional d’Art de Catalunya (MNAC, Barcelona) focuses on two of the most emblematic periods in its collection. On the one hand, Romanesque art, developed between the 11th and 13th centuries, of which the MNAC can proudly claim to preserve the largest collection in the world. Many of these works, originally painted on wood, are also reproduced on wooden panels in their Neoserie version, respecting the materiality of each piece.On the other hand, Catalan Modernisme, a movement that shaped the cultural identity of the late 19th century and early 20th, internationally recognized for its fusion of applied arts, architecture, and painting. Among its leading figures are Ramón Casas, Joaquim Mir, and other artists who defined the aesthetics of an era, bringing forward an innovative and cosmopolitan vision that continues to fascinate today.
