In Garós, a small village in Vall d’Aran, Maximale Studio renovated a traditional Catalan rural house. The steeply pitched roof, the slate, the south-facing openings were kept. The pine wood, buried under paint and varnish, was restored through sanding and sandblasting. New wood for windows, doors and wardrobes came from nearby carpentries.

Following the same material simplicity, the lighting: SíSíSí Cónica Plana, Dórica, FAD, and Básica Mínima Batería. Hand-stitched parchment, ribbon, and natural oak.
