Enrique Barro. Memoria de lápiz
13 February 2025 – 25 May 2025
The exhibition will feature series such as Pencil Trails, which showcases the artist's interest in working with colored pencils in various ways, using shavings and sawdust to create unique compositions on canvas.
Enrique Barro (Barcelona, 1986), a multidisciplinary artist, works with colored pencils in various, often extraordinary ways to create abstract compositions and objects with unexpected forms. The pencil serves as the central element of his artistic discourse: shavings, broken tips, and sawdust make up the visual language of his work. This is evident in the series Pencil Trails, where he arranges curvilinear paths made from pencil shavings on large canvases.
The result invites us to explore vibrant microcosms, where colors and forms evoke a pure and essential contemplation of the wondrous transformation of everyday elements. Through this process, the fragile beauty hidden in the smallest and seemingly insignificant fragments of our vast world is revealed.
