Baldomero stands where a garage once stood, in the Passatge de Mercader in Barcelona’s Eixample. The name belonged to its previous owner. Its current owners designed it themselves: an urban farmhouse washed in pink, bucolic and relaxed, where the city recedes and the food is comfort.

The open kitchen connects the rooms and levels. Around it, tables of different sizes, greenery, and the materials that make the rest unnecessary: limestone floors, wooden furniture, clay pots.

Santa & Cole fills the light: Cirio Lineal and Cirio Cascada, linear and braided, both with glass shades, hang over the main areas. Plus two pendants that need no introduction, Globo Cesta and Globo Cestita, icons of a certain Barcelona warmth.

Dórica floor lamps in the corners of the dining room: a light sculpture of slender verticality, composed of a metal base, hand-made ribbon shade, and a natural leather grip. The Doric column, reread. And Básica keeps the same warmth, the same honest materials.

At last, Sylvestrina, rechargeable and free-standing, lands on the tables.
