Peter Paul Rubens was one of the greatest Baroque painters and a master of color, composition, and dynamic movement. His work ranges from portraits and landscapes to religious and mythological paintings, marked by exuberance and dramatic motion. Trained in Italy, Rubens absorbed Renaissance and Baroque influences, blending them into a vibrant and sensual style. He was also a diplomat and humanist, enabling a remarkable career and commissions from major European courts. His Antwerp workshop was highly productive, with many pupils and assistants.
