The GATCPAC lamp pays tribute to the Catalan architectural collective of the same name, which sought to modernize the construction mindset of its era in line with European avant-garde movements, particularly rationalism. Conceived as a machine à illuminer, its creators would leave this lamp in their clients’ interiors as a symbol of their modern ideas—a kind of collective signature.
