A row of women weeps intensely: they scratch their faces, dishevel their hair, and dress in mourning. These scenes were part of the tomb of Sancho Sánchez Carrillo and his wife in Burgos (Spain). Painted on parchment adhered to wood—an extremely uncommon technique—they stand out for their expressiveness and rhythmic arrangement. Although medieval, their visual impact resonates with contemporary sensibilities due to the powerful way they convey the collective emotion of grief.

Edition Details — Neoseries

Museum Neoseries are facsimile editions of great masterpieces, created with cutting-edge technology in collaboration with institutions like the Museo Nacional Thyssen-Bornemisza (Madrid) or the MNAC (Barcelona) among others. They faithfully reproduce the volume, texture, and color of the original work. Each piece is produced on demand and individually numbered, with progressive and accessible pricing. An art edition that democratizes beauty and makes it possible to live with art beyond museum walls.

Price and Transaction Records

Museum Neoseries, numbered and certified, increase in price by 10% with each unit sold. Always produced on demand, their value lies in the experience of beauty itself. In this way, they are granted an induced revaluation, creating a market in which price is closely linked to demand. Thus, the value of each piece becomes tied to its social acceptance, guiding its commercial development and preventing hasty trivialization.

Framing Suggestions

Most of our editions are printed on paper and designed to travel safely and efficiently. For this reason—and because trusted framers can be found almost anywhere—we recommend framing locally. These guidelines will help you achieve the best result:

Without glass, whenever possible

Many original works are displayed without glass. To preserve the same aesthetic and presence, we recommend doing the same. The result is more natural, glare-free, and visually striking.

Mounting on rigid backing (PVC)

Ask your framer to mount the artwork onto a rigid backing. PVC is lightweight, stable, and helps prevent warping over time. It’s also essential if you choose to frame without glass.

Conservation and materials

Always use acid-free materials

If you use glass, make sure it’s anti-glare and UV-protective

Our recommended alternative: museum-grade acrylic, lighter and safer

Shipping & Packaging

Our art editions are carefully rolled and shipped in custom-made tubes designed to ensure safe transport. We offer three tube sizes—70 cm, 90 cm, and 150 cm in height—all with a 12 cm diameter. Each tube weighs approximately 5 kg. Smaller-format editions are shipped flat in a rigid cardboard folder for added protection.

Museu Nacional d’Art de Catalunya

This first selection of Neoseries from the Museu Nacional d’Art de Catalunya (MNAC, Barcelona) focuses on two of the most emblematic periods in its collection. On the one hand, Romanesque art, developed between the 11th and 13th centuries, of which the MNAC can proudly claim to preserve the largest collection in the world. Many of these works, originally painted on wood, are also reproduced on wooden panels in their Neoserie version, respecting the materiality of each piece. On the other hand, Catalan Modernisme, a movement that shaped the cultural identity of the late 19th century and early 20th, internationally recognized for its fusion of applied arts, architecture, and painting. Among its leading figures are Ramón Casas, Joaquim Mir, and other artists who defined the aesthetics of an era, bringing forward an innovative and cosmopolitan vision that continues to fascinate today.
