HEREU Studio and Showroom
Where craft tradition meets a contemporary industrial language.
Designed by the architecture studio Fuera Fos, the new HEREU studio and showroom in Poblenou, Barcelona, draws inspiration from mid-20th-century industrial workshops, approached through a contemporary lens. Conceived as a workspace, archive and exhibition space for the brand, the project unfolds across 480 m².
Founded in 2014, HEREU — the Catalan word for “heir” — builds its identity around Mediterranean craft heritage. Its collections of shoes, bags and small leather goods are produced in Spain through a network of family-run workshops, where traditional techniques are translated into pieces defined by their essential character.
The architectural project reflects this same balance between tradition and innovation. From the outset, Fuera Fos chose to work with a very limited palette of materials and construction solutions, a decision that guides the project throughout. Structural clarity, repetition of elements and an economy of means shape an environment that recalls the logic of industrial spaces.
The result is a functional setting where architecture acts as a precise backdrop to the brand’s activity. Workspaces, exhibition areas and storage coexist naturally, creating a fluid continuity between production areas, showroom and offices.
Within this context, Santa & Cole lighting accompanies the project with a discreet and precise presence. Light enhances each space and integrates seamlessly into the overall environment.
HEREU’s studio becomes a physical extension of the brand’s values: a place where past and present meet, and where craft heritage finds new forms of expression.
