Learn more about the Neoseries, Santa & Cole's art editions.
Our art editor, Andrea Coll, answers the most frequently asked questions about the Neoseries, a proposal that redefines the democratization of art in terms of price and accessibility.
Find out what they consist of, their purpose and the meticulous technique used to reproduce the original works accurately.
In addition, Andrea highlights the importance of the Santa & Cole Gallery and talks about the various possibilities of the Neoseries.
What does the Neoseries consist of?
Neoseries are art editions that, unlike traditional graphic art, are based on an original work that is reproduced in the same size, color and even texture in order to convey the same emotion as the piece from which they originate.
Are they limited series?
No, the Neoseries are numbered and certified, but not limited.
They are produced on demand so there is no stock of them, so there is the same amount of works produced as sold.
In this way, the enjoyment of a work is no longer restricted to a single piece or to a limited number of a series, democratizing it in price and quantity.
This unlimitedness is what makes it possible to remunerate artists in the form of royalties, with the same system applied in the world of books or design editions.
We use production methods specific to design editions in our Neoseries.

What is the technique?
To obtain a Neoseries, the original work is scanned in 3D, obtaining on the one hand the most accurate information about its relief, and on the other hand and through thousands of panoramic photographs, the most reliable color.
This creates a digital file that is then materialized on the most suitable support, mainly cotton paper.
For this purpose, various digital printing techniques and different supports are combined, so that in each case it is adjusted to the technique used by the artist in the original work.
In this way the Neoserie even reproduces the effect of the texture of its reference work, thus allowing the experience before it to be complete.
Can I buy them framed?
The fact that the Neoseries are on paper offers great advantages both for the price of transport and for the security of the works in the shipment.
However, at Santa & Cole we offer advice and intermediation for framing if the client requests it.
In the cities where Santa & Cole has a gallery, such as Barcelona, New York or Mexico City, framing can be requested in those cities, who can order it to local suppliers with Santa & Cole standards.

How are the participating artists selected?
We select the artists and their works that we like, following the criteria that has characterized Santa & Cole's design editions for almost 40 years: we look for works for coexistence, that do not follow trends and therefore have a timeless validity, that evoke positive feelings and that we believe that, if they accompany our daily life, they will make it better.
To maintain this criterion, Santa & Cole has an Editorial Committee, a group of people who discuss to ensure an editorial line that identifies us.
Where can they be seen?
The Neoseries selection from our catalog can be viewed in full on the Santa & Cole website, along with the original works, which are also for sale if they are still available.
However, the experience is much more complete if you have the opportunity to see and touch the quality and texture of them, to see that it is much more than a print.
For this reason, we have several galleries, where through temporary exhibitions we show not only the Neoseries but also the body of work of our artists to promote and disseminate their talent.
From our Santa & Cole Gallery in Barcelona to the one in Belloch (our headquarters), passing through New York or Mexico City, the beauty is that the exhibitions roam, adapt and build bridges between cities, with the advantage that the Neoseries allow exhibitions to be replicated even after the pieces have been sold, and even occur simultaneously in more than one of the galleries.
For example, Marcos Isamat is currently exhibiting Marcos Isamat.
Simply Drawing is being shown simultaneously in Barcelona and Mexico City.

What is the value of a gallery in Mexico City for Santa & Cole?
The case of the Santa & Cole Gallery in CDMX is a special case for us, since it was born out of the interest in our art editions by Diez Company.
They believed in the project to the point of daring to leave lighting for the first time, which is what they specialize in, to offer their customers another way of giving light, such as art.
We have opened the CDMX gallery in alliance with them in a beautiful location in Polanco (Campos Elíseos, 158), which could not be a better setting for our exhibitions.
Likewise, our physical presence in the city allows us to vindicate the link between Santa & Cole (and therefore, Diez Company) and art, so that it is possible to incorporate a new offer to the projects in which we are already present with lighting.
What type of client is this project focused on?
On the other hand, there are private clients who find in the Neoseries a more democratic way of accessing art.
Without having to allocate an extraordinary budget, the Neoseries allow them to have access to quality and certified works that they can live with.
In addition, and in the case of the Neoseries of Masters, it is probably the only way to have access to an authentic edition of artists such as Rubens, Caravaggio or Velázquez.
On the other hand, Neoseries are a perfect solution for contract projects, as they fill the niche between the original work (for which there is rarely a budget) and the print or poster, thus allowing the placement of quality works that elevate the project, and at the same time adjusting to a limited budget.
It is being very well received in hotels, where Neoseries provide a perfect opportunity to place quality art in the rooms, combined with a variety of original works in common spaces.
For this type of project, we offer a free art consulting service, and our team of experts work with the client to come up with a proposal that fits the needs.
