Barcelona (Spain)

The metal version of Miguel Milá’s Cesta family was chosen for a 90 sqm dwelling renovated by the CIRERA + ESPINET interior design studio.

The rectangular-shaped apartment located in the Gràcia district of Barcelona was a commission by a private individual that had to be resolved in less than two months.

In order to build a bright, open space, the designers decided to eliminate unnecessary partitions and create medium-size furniture united by sliding glass.

To dialogue with the stainless steel elements and the old wooden ceiling beams, elements such as Eileen Gray’s E1027 table and the metal version of Miguel Milá‘s Cesta lamp were chosen, adding dynamism and elegance to the space.

The result is an industrial-style apartment with strong contrasts in terms of colours, structures and materials, offering history and modernity as well as personality and proximity.
