This auxiliary table was designed as part of the project to remodel the office of Barcelona Mayor Pasqual Maragall, who oversaw the citys successful bid for the 1992 Olympics. Like the Diana lamp, the table was named after his wife. Knowing the office would be frequented by a large body of the international community, Correa and the Milá brothers opted for a simple and elegant interior design. In the same spirit as the lamp series, the table exudes a timeless quality. The perfect balance between tradition and modernity, where everything boils down to proportion, with two different table top heights and diameters.
Since the 60s, architect duo Federico Correa and Alfonso Milá have been among the most successful in Spanish design and architecture. Their work is inspired by the architectural heritage of the Modern Movements great masters. For this project they enlisted the help of Miguel Milá; one of the greatest exponents of industrial design in Spain, recipient of the Premio Nacional de Diseño 1987, Compasso dOro 2008, and the Gold Medal of Merit in the Fine Arts 2016 among, many other distinctions.
