The new Audiovisual campus of the Universidad Pompeu Fabra, which won the Ciutat de Barcelona Architecture and Urban Development Award, arranges in masterly fashion new buildings and the restoration project for the former Ca l'Aranyó factory, built in 1872 following the model of the British textile industries of the time.
Designed for multiple uses, the inner courtyard of the block acts as a unifying axis for the different buildings, facilitating the socialization of the students. A space where the timeless design of the Neoromántico bench by Miguel Milá is the confidant of numerous encounters.
The alignment of Plaza planters along one of the façades contributes to highlighting the main body of the building, harmonizing architecture and a shared public space.
