The Baró Quadras Palace has been the headquarters of the Ramon Llull Institute since 2013. Located on Barcelona's Avenida Diagonal and built in the early twentieth century by Josep Puig i Cadafalch, the neo-Gothic sculptural elements on both the exterior facade and in the interior give this building great historical and architectural value.

The presence of ceramic elements in interior spaces influenced by Islamic architecture required lighting that could give luminosity without overloading the atmosphere, making a subtle presence to accompany the participants in their many activities. The materials chosen were Antoni Arola's Nimba and Cirio lamps, and the GATCPAC standard lamps, by Josep Torres Clave, 1931.
