Project by Ricardo Bofill Taller de Arquitectura carried out in Savona marina. In 2006 the biggest Italian naval tourist transport company, Costa Crociere, decided to move its main base from Genoa to Savona. It is foreseen that the new Savona marina will compete in size and in number of passengers with the biggest ports of Italy and Europe and, in this respect, a second project expansion phase will begin in 2009.
This is a project which includes a residential complex with shopping and leisure facilities, to be developed on land situated in the port area of the city.
The Lamparaalta Streetlamp, designed by Beth Galí and Màrius Quintana for Santa & Cole, illuminates the jetty of Savona marina.
