The Catalan capital's new Science Museum, CosmoCaixa Barcelona, was inaugurated in September 2004. It consists of a space conceived for all kinds of visitors, with a broad scientific and educational offering, exhibitions, workshops, lectures, courses and debates. As part of the new infrastructures created on this big level area of more than 5,000 m2 we can highlight the Plaza de la Ciencia, a large public space which was opened up to the city with the construction of the museum.
In this open and transparent space we can find several elements published by Santa & Cole. A selection of benches, from the models Nu (designed by Jordi Henrich and Olga Tarrasó), Neoromántico (Miguel Milá) and Moon (Enric Batlle and Joan Roig) allow the visitor to rest. The lighting comes from Streetlamps from the Rama family (designed by Gonzalo Milá). Rambla litter bins (designed by Guillermo Bertólez and Javier Ferrándiz) have also been installed.
