Known as the "Romanesque city", Zamora is the European city with the highest concentration of Romanesque churches in its city centre. Indeed, the Historical-Artistic Centre of Zamora was recently proposed to UNESCO as a ÂWorld Heritage SiteÂ. Since 2006, an intense project is being carried out to remodel and reorganize the main streets and squares of the city's historic centre. The studio JH Arquitectos has been commissioned with carrying out this ambitious project.
The project includes the reinterpretation of some public spaces through the renewal of the paving, furniture and lighting of the old quarter. With this aim, the public lighting system chosen is the Rama Streetlamp, a design by Gonzalo Milá and Martina Zink for Santa & Cole.
