On 23 April last, coinciding with the organization of the Salone del Mobile / Euroluce, Santa & Cole presented, in its Milan showroom, the Belloch Chair, one of its furniture proposals for 2009. The chairman of the Italian subsidiary, Giovanni Cutolo, began the presentation of this chair with stylistic evocations of Charles and Ray Eames but also with very topical concerns for the environment. Gabriele Schiavon, from the Lagranja studio together with Gerard Sanmartí, was in charge of introducing those present to the Belloch universe. A universe in which the innovation of the materials has been an essential factor. The Belloch Chair, whose seat and back and made from a special mixture of recycled plastic with fibreglass or wood, and which is supported by legs made either from beech wood (for indoors) or from aluminium (for outdoors), is a chair with a classical inspiration but with a perfectly contemporary workmanship, robust and very comfortable.

The showroom on Via Cosimo del Fante, Santa & Cole Italy's headquarters since 2004, is the scenario which since then has hosted the new indoor products. They are modern products, committed to very topical needs, the fruit of the efforts made over recent months in Santa & Cole's Laboratory of Objects, led by the domestic products publisher Nina Masó. In their majority, the lighting and furniture elements presented are suitable for Contract projects, but without this making them subject to fashions or trends. They are creations in their own right which prove, once again, the timeless quality of good design.

Santa & Cole is thrilled to present its new proposals for 2009, thanks to its valuable and essential collaboration with great, mainly Spanish, contemporary designers, with a concern for a certain humanist idea of life shared in the home, where we give and we receive.
