Thirty architects from the two big Spanish cities present their specific view of how to transform the urban landscape into a true centre of coexistence in the exhibition that will be opened on the coming 6 October and which will last until the 29th of the same month

In the framework of Madrid Architecture Week, Santa & Cole hosts the exhibition Humanizing the City. Architectures of Madrid and Barcelona., the aim of which is to present the vision of fifteen architects from each of these cities to transform the urban landscape into a true centre of coexistence.

Designed by Santa & Cole with the advice of the architects Juan Ignacio Mera and Carlos Asensio-Wandosell, and of the Barcelona Centre for Contemporary Culture (CCCB), the exhibition will be opened on the coming 6 October and will last until the 29th of the same month in the showroom that the Barcelona design publishing house has in Calle Santiago Bernabéu, number 6, in Madrid.

Through thirty proposals for which no limit at all was imposed as regards format and which will be exhibited on the same table, a new paradigm is proposed for the 21st century city, in which the needs of the citizens take precedence over arbitrary urban growth, and whose greatest challenge is that of approaching sustainable urban development in a meaningful way, through technological innovation and creativity. This is, in short, humanizing the city of the future.
