Lampelunas

José A. Martínez Lapeña, Elías Torres. 1986

A large-scale light structure designed for unique spaces. It comprises three or six spotlights arranged in an ascending spiral that reflect to create a light pleasantly remi-niscent of moonlight.

The concept of illuminating public space with moonlight was the inspiration for this street lamp. Circular reflective shades are used to reproduce the lunar phases at night, while by day it is a sculpture that blends in with the trees.
