An ergonomic bench with a straightforward profile that can be used to create rows of smooth lines for public and private spaces.       
Multiple combinations of benches with or without backrest and armrests at each end can be made from the same base.

Barcelona, 1954

Having studied interior design at the School of Arts and Crafts of Barcelona and graphic design at the Eina School, Espinàs has worked in both architecture and urban design.

In the 1980s he was in charge of the design of the architecture magazine A30 and of numerous publications of the Association of Architects of Catalonia, also designing the graphics and the setting-up of exhibitions for the same association and the first exhibitions held in the Centre for Contemporary Culture of Barcelona (CCCB).

From 1994 to 1996, together with Olga Tarrasó he was in charge of the graphic communication and the design of the ephemeral installations of the Congress of the International Union of Architects UIA Barcelona'96.

Valencia, 1956

Tarrasó graduated from the School of Architecture of Barcelona in 1982 and later studied a Master's degree in Landscape Architecture at the Polytechnic University of Catalonia. She has taught project classes and taken part in landscape workshops at various schools.

Since 1982 until 2000, she was a member of Barcelona City Council's Urban Projects Office. Her urban architecture projects include the refurbishment of Barceloneta promenade, carried out together with Jaume Artigues, Jordi Henrich and Miquel Roig, which obtained the 1996 FAD Award for outdoor spaces as well as the cover of the Ronda del Mig Ring Road in Barcelona (Década 2006 Award) carried out together with Jordi Henrich.

Structure, armrests and frame for slats made of 8 mm bent steel plate, with anti-rust protection and black powder coating.
Seat with or without backrest made of FSC®-certified tropical hardwood slats protected with one-coat oil. The outer slats are 30/40 x 120 mm and the inner slats 40 x 60 mm.

Installation

Fixed to the ground with two stainless steel screws per structure.
The bench is delivered dismantled and packaged in two parts: the support structures, and the seat with or without backrest.
The bench is delivered with assembly instructions.

Maintenance

No functional maintenance is required, except to preserve the original colour of the wood.

Weight

1 section with backrest: 61 kg.
1 section without backrest: 49 kg.
